AMERICAN SOCIETY OF APPRAISERS: Accredited Senior Appraiser, tested and certified expert in the areas of antiques, decorative arts, and general residential contents. Designated Senior member 1986; completed 100 hours of continuing education for recertification in 1991,1996, 2002, and 2005. Treasurer, Lansing Chapter 1990-91, Secretary 1991-93. Editorial Board, Personal Property Journal 1989-90. Completed 15 hour course work and exam in the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) developed by the Appraisal foundation, May 1994, December 1999, Nov. 2009, May 2020.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: Since 1981 independent personal property appraiser. Owner and operator of South Street Antiques, Kalamazoo, Michigan 1974-77. Appraisals of personal property for estate, insurance, gift, divorce, sale, tax and other purposes in the state of Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Maine, New York, Connecticut and Massachusetts. In addition to areas of certified expertise, appraisal assignments completed include valuations of offices of physicians and attorneys and other places of business. Client list includes attorneys, businesses, hospitals, insurance agencies, museums, historic properties commissions, local and Federal government agencies and private citizens.

PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION: B.A. in Art History, Miami University, graduate study Columbia University. Participation in seminars, lectures and workshops of the American Society of Appraisers, the Appraisers Association of America and the International Society of Appraisers. Independent research and study in areas of particular interest. Reaccredited ASA Senior Member valid through 2024. Member of the Appraisers Consortium of New England.
